                                 I WAS EVERYTHING HE WANTED

Paisley Stephenson is a 25-year-old, young lady that is from Memphis, TN.  She is ambitious and determined to have a successful life just as her parents have. Growing up, Paisley was always taught to go hard at everything that she does, and take on the world if necessary to get to where she needed to be. Using her parent's relationship as a blueprint for her own life, Paisley sets out to begin her journey. She finished High School, meets the love of her life, buys a home and acquires her realtor’s license. And then while trying to accomplish her own dreams, Paisley motivates her young, husband Nahir Stephenson who is just a year older to start his landscaping company, which he does. For three of the four blissfully married years that the young couple has been together, they seem to be doing everything right. Paisley and Nahir support one another, they love each other, they have date nights, host parties, and they both are still focusing on building a legacy in which their future kids can soon model.

Each feels as though they have life figured out, and that nothing should ever come in between them as long as they stick together and follow the simple plan that has been set for them. But what Paisley and Nahir didn’t realize was that things aren’t that easy. There is no simple checklist to follow for your marriage to work. It requires so much more to make it last. The most important factor is that there must be trust. When a situation occurs in Paisley’s family, it causes her to breakdown, and of course, she turns to Nahir for a shoulder to lean on. For a while, he is there being the loving husband that he should be, but soon it becomes too much to deal with, and he finds himself pulling away. With each passing day, the couple starts to drift apart, and it becomes apparent that the honeymoon phase has ended. Will Paisley and Nahir be able to regain their lives and get back on track to continue with the life plan they have made for themselves?

Marcus Stephenson is Nahir’s younger brother. He is young, wild, carefree and according to his family, he is irresponsible. Marcus is battling with some deep rooted issues that have been carried over from his childhood. But despite what everyone says, he is trying his best to prove them wrong by keeping his life on track. He too has his own business, which is a barbershop that he has owned for just a few short years. Unfortunately, as everyone predicted, Marcus gets into some legal trouble that may cause him to lose his shop. Embarrassed that his family might be right, he decides to keep the mishap to himself. Well for a while Marcus was able to keep things a secret, but then his back is pushed against the wall, and there is no other choice but to confess to his troubles. In the midst of all that, he is also trying to build a relationship with his new lady, Averi; which by the way is proving to be no easy task. Will Marcus overcome his issues and be able to finally break away from the bad rep that he has made for himself or will the assumption that he is this big mess up in life turn out to be true?
